Independent Schools Tasmania (IST) is seeking Expressions of Interest for a dynamic Statewide Literacy Leader to join our team!

This leadership role, commencing as soon as possible, offers an incredible opportunity to provide high-level strategic direction, expert guidance, and system-wide support to elevate literacy outcomes across Tasmania’s independent schools.

We’re looking for a dedicated professional with deep expertise in evidence-informed literacy instruction, the Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) framework, and the Australian Curriculum V9.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Leading a project to implement IST’s Lifting Literacy Plan.
• Providing contemporary evidence-based advice to educators and leaders
• Designing and delivering impactful professional learning programs
• Providing expert feedback and data literacy support to educators and leaders
• Participating in cross-sector collaboration to advance statewide literacy priorities.
