Climate Change Education

The Department for Education Children and Young People (DECYP) have announced the release of new Climate Change Education teaching and learning resources, a key initiative from the Tasmanian Climate Change Action Plan 2023-2025. This collaborative effort between the Department for Education, Children and Young People (DECYP) and Renewables, Climate and Future Industries Tasmania (ReCFIT) aims to enhance climate change education across all Tasmanian schools.

These Australian Curriculum aligned resources include sequenced unit and lesson plans from Prep to Year 10. The package provides teachers with tools to help students deepen their knowledge across the years of schooling about climate science, sustainability and the role of human activities in shaping the Earth’s systems.
