DECYP Safeguarding Online Learning Portal and Associated Resources
All organisations required to comply with the Child and Youth Safe Organisations Framework can now gain access to the DEYCP Safeguarding Online Learning Portal.
The training available via the portal provides staff with practical information on how to keep children safe, including how to identify and prevent abuse, how to support the child or young person, and each staff member’s legal obligations in responding to concerns.
The training options include:
- A 15-minute video which provides workers with essential training on identifying, reporting, and responding to child sexual abuse (this is recommended as the minimum requirement for your workers).
- Further advanced modules:
- Reporting Obligations: Advanced Training.
- Child Sexual Abuse Awareness: Advanced Training/
Staff will be provided with a certificate at the end of each training module.
