Our Position
Middle School Teacher
An exciting opportunity in our Middle school (grade/year 6 to 9) awaits a highly engaged teacher who is passionate about students, their learning and wellbeing.
The successful applicant will be responsible for creating a positive learning environment, incorporating biblical threads in the curriculum and be committed to building and maintaining relationships with students and their families.
The successful applicant/s will be responsible for:
- Teaching Humanities subjects and or other fields of specialty by negotiation.
- Delivering lessons incorporating teaching of biblical perspectives in each subject area.
- Preparing curriculum documents including scope and sequence and unit plans.
- Delivering and assessing lessons aligned with the Australian Curriculum V9 in a meaningful and engaging way.
- Building and maintaining home/school partnerships where school families support is valued and encouraged to provide quality outcomes for students.
- Fostering the wellbeing of students in a Christian education environment
The successful applicant will be willing to work in our highly collaborative and effective School team under the leadership of the Head of School
Position Requirements
The successful applicant/s will have:
A living Christian faith, with a vision for Christian education.

Passionate about students and their learning.

Excellent skills in building relationships with students, parents and colleagues.

Demonstrated teaching experience and leadership (if relevant to the position).

Sound judgement.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Highly developed administrative skills.

Character traits that include humility, honesty, selflessness & integrity.

Current Tasmanian Teachers Registration or eligible to be registered.

Current Tasmanian Working with Vulnerable People Card or eligible to hold.

Current First Aid Certificate to the level of HLTAID011.

A written reference from your pastor or minister.

A vacancy currently exists for immediate filling.
Ideally the successful applicant will commence work in Term 3, with continued employment in 2025 as an ongoing permanent staff member.
