Teacher Trainee 2025 - Launceston Christian School

Our teacher trainee mod­el is unique and dif­fer­ent from the stan­dard path­way to teaching:

Teacher Trainees under­take their role with a view to com­plete an accred­it­ed ini­tial teacher edu­ca­tion (ITE) course through Alphacru­cis Uni­ver­si­ty Col­lege and to enter employ­ment with Launce­s­ton Chris­t­ian School as a reg­is­tered teacher upon course completion.

Teacher Trainees are employed part-time at our school and work along­side a men­tor teacher for each year of their employment/​training and will under­take pro­gres­sive duties over this peri­od to build their prac­tice skills in prepa­ra­tion for grad­u­ate teach­ing proficiency.

On suc­cess­ful grad­u­a­tion and ongo­ing employ­ment at the school, a sig­nif­i­cant con­tri­bu­tion towards course fees is offered.
