New IST Staff Appointments for 2023

I am pleased to advise that Nico­la David­son has today com­menced with IST as Deputy Exec­u­tive Direc­tor and leader of the IST school con­sult­ing team. Nico­la comes to us with exten­sive expe­ri­ence in West­ern Aus­tralia, most recent­ly as Man­ag­er of School Lead­er­ship and Qual­i­ty Teach­ing at the Asso­ci­a­tion of Inde­pen­dent Schools West­ern Aus­tralia (AISWA).

I am also delight­ed to announce the appoint­ment of two addi­tion­al IST edu­ca­tion con­sul­tants to sup­port inde­pen­dent schools in North­ern and North­west Tasmania.

Lau­ren Wat­son com­mences as Edu­ca­tion Con­sul­tant – North (Cur­ricu­lum, Qual­i­ty Teach­ing and School Improve­ment) on 1^st Feb­ru­ary 2023. Lau­ren was pre­vi­ous­ly Head of School for three Indie School cam­pus­es in South­ern Tasmania.

On 8^th Feb­ru­ary 2023, Tim Chugg com­mences as Inclu­sive Edu­ca­tion Con­sul­tant – North. For the past 11 years, Tim has been the Prin­ci­pal at Giant Steps, Delo­raine, a spe­cial school for stu­dents with autism.

I wel­come Lau­ren and Tim to our team to meet the grow­ing demand for IST ser­vices in North­ern and North­west Tasmania.

Trudy Ward and Ruth Croser will now be able to bet­ter sup­port South­ern schools in these spe­cial­ist areas.

I thank Trudy and Ruth for pro­vid­ing state-wide cov­er­age until now.

In the com­ing weeks, I look for­ward to per­son­al­ly intro­duc­ing Nico­la, Lau­ren and Tim to lead­ers of mem­ber schools.
