IST is pleased to welcome once again ACARA and Our Watch Principal Advisors Genevieve and Kristen who will run a session building on content from their Term 1 PL Workshop: Building Understanding Regarding Respectful Relationships Education and Whole School Approaches to Preventing Gender Based Violence.
About ACARA:
ACARA is the national body that develops the Australian Curriculum; their team leads are the Curriculum specialists in their areas.
Matthew Ryan is an experienced HPE Teacher of 20 years across primary and secondary contexts.
Experience leading system-wide curriculum design, professional learning and policy advice. Our Watch is a national leader in the primary prevention of violence against women and their children in Australia.
The Commonwealth and Victorian governments established Our Watch as a key initiative under the National Plan to Prevent Violence Against Women and their Children in June 2013. Our Watch works with ACARA in resource development in CRRE and with school sectors around Australia in building safe, respectful, protective school communities.
