Who is speaking
IST is thrilled to announce Professor Donna Cross, OAM returning to Tasmania for in school mentor support for schools in conjunction with IST under the Federal Government's Consent and Respectful Relationships funding provision in 2025.
Donna will be working with two schools in the north/north-west and two in the south to help plan and facilitate the development of strategies that support whole school changes and the building of protective, respectful communities. There will be a focus on planning for 2026, with spaced visit support continuing for these schools through the 2026 school year. Please contact IST to express interest in taking up this incredible opportunity.
Schools involved will have the opportunity to:
- Consider the characteristics and elements of effective whole-of-school approaches to wellbeing.
- Evaluate how well current whole school policies and processes support wellbeing and respectful relationships
- Be given strategies to evaluate their school’s readiness to implement change and consider the process of de-implementation of less evidence informed approaches.
- Be guided through effective wellbeing and respectful relationships approaches, policies, and practices, embedded within school improvement planning.
