This full-day event, which forms part of a spaced professional learning delivered termly, will focus on equipping all teachers to understand and implement the Lifting Literacy Mandate in their context.
Content will be tailored to specific year levels: Prep - 2, Years 3 - 6, and Years 7 - 12, as well as Specialist Teachers and Teacher Assistants. This session is for all teachers (Prep to Year 12).
Please note that this is a longer, deep-dive, version of the PL previously run on 28/2 and 31/2.
During this event, participants will have the opportunity to:
- Understand the 'why' behind the Lifting Literacy Mandate.
- Unpack the Minimum Schooling Guarantee and consider what this means for your students.
- Explore the foundational knowledge of what Structured Literacy is (and is not) within an MTSS Framework Cognitive Load Theory and begin to link research to practice in your own context.
