Overview
DIBELS is an evidence-based universal screening tool that can be used to measure student progress in reading, reflect on the impact of teaching, set goals for future success, and identify gaps in student knowledge so that they can be addressed in a timely manner.
Content
In this full day session, we will look at why it is vitally important to adopt valid and reliable assessment practices, such as DIBELS, to assess reading skills.
We will then cover how to administer the 6 subtests with fidelity. This will include practical training in all of the individual subtests.
Finally, we shall explore some of the ways the data collected from DIBELS can be used to inform teacher practice and improve student outcomes across a school.
