Who is speaking
Katey Gioia (AERO) with Mark Seager (IST Early Years Consultant).
This one (1) hour event will talk participants through AERO’s Early Childhood Learning Trajectories, which are designed for teachers and educators working in early childhood education and care (ECEC) services and Kindergarten. The trajectories describe how children learn and develop in these key domains:
- Executive functions.
- Social and emotional learning.
- Mathematical thinking.
- Language and communication.
- Physical development.
During this session participants will have the opportunity to learn how they can use the learning trajectories in a variety of ways to:
- Strengthen their curriculum.
- Inform their pedagogical decision-making, in line with the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF V2.0).
The learning trajectories also:
- Support he National Quality Standard, especially Standard 1.3: Assessment and Planning.
- Help ECEC services lift quality and implement Quality Improvement Plans.
