PROJECT
SESSION
2024's Wellbeing in Action Project unpacks the Wellbeing Toolkit developed by Donna Cross and AISSA, along with complimentary key resources by BeYou, AERO and AITSL.

Sessions will happen each term and will consist of two components - an initial 'unpacking an area of wellbeing' workshop (stand alone session), followed by time when schools who have registered for the wellbeing action research project will receive support in working through planning and reviewing of a hands on action project focussing on a priority area for their school.

Registering for the Wellbeing Action Project will involve commitment to attendance at half day sessions each term.

Term Three - North Session
Social Emotional Learning, Explicit Teaching

Tue 10th September 2024

  • General Session: 9:00AM - 10:30AM

    • Building students' capacity to regulate emotion and social/emotional understanding is a high priority as a foundation for learning and life. What is the most evidence informed way for educators to do this? In this session we will look at options outlined in the toolkit and elsewhere and how these link to curriculum and can be implemented across multiple tiers of support.

  • Full Session: 9:00AM - 12:30PM
    • Research Project Participants.
    • Reviewing outcomes to date, next steps and tools.
    • 12.30, light lunch provided.
